Why does the physical environment matter?
Research consistently shows that the physical classroom environment shapes student behavior, focus, and learning. Thoughtful arrangement of furniture, lighting, and zones isn't decorating — it's teaching.
As a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with 27 years of classroom experience, I bring both the research foundation and the practical know-how to help you make changes that actually work for your students.
Common questions
How do I submit my classroom photos?
Use the submission form on this site to share your photos and tell me about your classroom. Your phone camera works perfectly — no special equipment needed.
What kinds of changes will you recommend?
Everything from furniture arrangement and traffic flow to lighting, flexible seating, reading nooks, display areas, and transition zones — all grounded in child development research.
I'm not in Ohio. Can I still work with you?
Absolutely! The Mini Glow-Up and Full Virtual Report are available to teachers everywhere. Only the In-Person Consultation is limited to Ohio.
Do I need a big budget to implement your recommendations?
Not at all. I specialize in high-impact, low-cost changes. Many of my best recommendations cost nothing — they're about rethinking how you use the space you already have.
What if I have questions after I receive my report?
The Full Virtual Report includes a 30-minute Zoom call so we can talk through everything together. For the Mini Glow-Up, you're always welcome to upgrade to a Full Report as a follow-up.
